New INA FEAD KIT from Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket sets Repair Standard

The new INA FEAD KIT is now being offered by Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket as a complete solution for repairing front-end accessory drives (FEAD). With this product the Aftermarket specialists are responding to increasing complexity of a system that supplies vital vehicle functions, and whose components are subjected to ever-higher load and with it wear and tear. This new repair solution rectifies this: For each vehicle type the Aftermarket specialists offer a tailor-made INA FEAD KIT containing all components that need to be replaced regularly. A complex search and allocation of the right repair solution-set is now a thing of the past.

The fact is, when conducting professional repair of a modern vehicle’s FEAD system it is no longer enough simply to check or replace the V-belt. Other components – like air conditioning, power steering, higher-output generators and start-stop systems – mean an increase in complexity. Added to this are strict CO2 regulations and an increase in downsized engines with higher crankshaft torque variations, which intensify demands on the entire FEAD system.

The INA FEAD KIT provides precisely those components that need regular replacement in the front-end accessory drive system. Its main components always include the V-belt, tensioner and idler pulleys, and all accessory parts needed. Depending on vehicle type and load requirements, the repair solution can also contain an overrunning alternator pulley (OAP), a torsional vibration damper or a water pump. The repair solution even contains the right belt-routing diagram for the vehicle, making assembly fast and easy.

Some vehicle manufactures have already started to specify FEAD replacement intervals – and more of them will be doing this in the future according to the Aftermarket specialists.
